Freshly Made Sketches #410

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Linda Callahan.

Here’s her great sketch:

I’ve been creating Christmas cards so much lately that I decided to mix it up and create a man card.  I’ve chosen the Sailing Home Stamp Set for my card.  The lighthouse from this set has been coloured with my Smoky Slate Blends.  I added a square of DSP from the Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack and an embossed square of Whisper White Cardstock. This cardstock has been embossed with my Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. I added some Braided Linen Trim and looped it around until I had the shape I wanted.  I also added some rope die cuts in Soft Suede and Crumb Cake Cardstock that have been created with my Smooth Sailing Dies.  The sentiment I’ve used on my card is from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set.

The Clean Team have created gorgeous cards that will no doubt inspire you. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Narelle,
I’ve seen many cards made with this stamp set but this is my absolute favorite!! Coloring the lighthouse in Smoky Slate gave it a realistic feel for me. All the other elements in the card are so masculine. I love it!

  2. I LOVE the white on white strip at the bottom and your addition of the two strips of die cut paper behind that fabulous light house. The way it POPS up over the panel is FABULOUS!!

  3. Wowza – that lighthouse is fabulous colored in Smoky Slate! Beautifully done! Great background and I love the twisty trim!

  4. This card is just totally amazing Narelle! I just love it! That lighthouse looks incredible and I love what you’ve done with the linen trim! Just gorgeous!
