Freshly Made Sketches #401

Hey Everyone

We hope you all had fun playing along with last weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches . For those who played along, I hope you’ve all checked  checked your email to see if you have won one of the many prizes that our generous sponsors donated.

This weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by the wonderfully talented Cecile Ribon.

I’m currently working on my Christmas cards and thought Cecile’s sketch would work really well for one.  I started my card with a Copper Foil circle.  I then heat embossed the cluster of stars background stamp from Frosted Foliage with Copper Embossing Powder on a Whisper White Cardstock circle.  I then stamped the stem of holly with Memento Black Ink and coloured the berries with Cherry Cobbler Blends.  I fussy cut them out and raised them up because I really like dimension to my cards.  The sentiment I’ve used is from Tidings All Around Stamp Set.  This has also been embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.  Under all my layers I added a strip of Sahara Sand Cardstock and a strip of 1/4″ Copper Trim.

Here’s my card:

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created the most gorgeous cards with this weeks sketch.  Why don’t you pop over to the challenge and see what they’ve created?

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. You are seriously the fussy cutting master. I had to read and re-read this several times to make sure I was reading correctly that you fussy cut those berries and leaves. Now that SU is not endorsing a particular die cutting machine may I direct your attention to a Brother Scan N Cut which will make your life so much easier! But never the less this is gorgeous!

  2. Okay, you seriously cut out all of those berries?! You are crazy! They are just gorgeous though! This card is fabulous and so pretty for Christmas!

  3. Glad to find another fussy cutter crafter! I love it; actually find it relaxing! We are of a small group, I think! Love this elegant take on this week’s sketch!

  4. Wow, Narelle! This is such a gorgeous Christmas card! Love that copper foil circle and that delicate berry twig. Thanks so much for making my sketch look so classy.
