It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:
I really don’t experiment at all with emboss resist, so challenges like these are great to test me and push me out of my comfort zone.
I started my card by stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment from Perennial Birthday Stamp Set multiple times on my Stamparatus in Versamark Ink. I then sprinkled over White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I took my dauber and Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather Inks and created the ombre effect background. When I was happy with the background, I took a piece of cloth and wiped over the background to created the emboss resist effect.
I took off cut pieces of Highland Heather and Bermuda Bay Cardstocks and layered them over the background. I embossed a circle punch with my Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and placed this over the strips of cardstock. I then stamped the flowers and leaves from Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and watercoloured them with Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz Ink. After fussy cutting them out, I then layered them around my sentiment – also from Perennial Birthday Stamp Set.
The team at Just Add Ink have created wonderful cards using this technique. Make sure you head over to the challenge by clicking here and take a look.
Thanks for stopping by.
