Welcome to my blog and a new Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop. This month we are featuring projects made with the gorgeous Needlepoint Nook Suite.
There are so many pretty colours in Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, but I chose to use an Old Olive sheet as the main colour for my cards. I’ve combined Old Olive with Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake for my flowers and leaves.
I really like the stitched line image in the Needle and Thread Photopolymer Stamp Set. I’ve stamped this twice in the background of my first card – once facing upwards and then downwards. I liked the fullness it gave the background under my flowers and leaves. I stamped this stitched line in Black Memento Ink. I then stamped the flowers in Powder Pink and Crumb Cake Inks. I love buying suites as there is always matching dies to save me time so I can make more cards! The die set is called Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.
The sentiments for my cards have been heat embossed on Basic Black Cardstock with White Embossing Powder. The frame that the sentiment is on is also from the die set. I couldn’t resist adding Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons to my cards, as they are just the cutest!
One of the dies in Needlepoint Nook Framelits Dies is a swirly stitched die. I cut a thin strip of Whisper White Cardstock and placed the die on one side and ran through the Bigshot. I then repeated this process for the other side of the cardstock. It gave the swirly stitched edge that you can see in my photo. I then adhered this piece to larger pieces of Whisper White Cardstock to create the base for my flowers and leaves.
The Artisan Team have all created amazing projects that will no doubt inspire you. The next hop along the way is the fabulously talented friend Rochelle Blok. Click on the badge below to continue the hop and check out all the gorgeousness of her cards.
