Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – Forever Lovely

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog!  I can tell you I was more than a little bit excited to be writing this post as this is my first post as a Stampin’ Up!® Artisan Design Member.

The team comprises of myself and 15 amazingly talented and creative crafters from around the world.  I was thrilled when I received the call that I was chosen to be a part of this team.  I realised halfway through the call that I was hopping from one foot to the other with excitement! Lucky no one was passing by otherwise I’m sure I would’ve received more than one strange look….

Take a look at our fabulous team photo!

Now on to my card!  The Artisan Design Team is focusing on the All My Love Suite. From the title of the suite you can probably guess this suite is all about hearts and flowers.  I’ve chosen both of those elements for my card.

My sentiment is stamped in Lovely Lipstick Ink and is from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set.  The sentiment is stamped on a tag that was created with a die from the matching die set called Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies.  The tag creates pretty cutout roses on the corner.  Behind these roses I’ve added a piece of Lovely Lipstick Cardstock to give colour to my flowers.

Behind the tag is a stitched heart in Whisper White Cardstock.  The heart die is from another set called Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  Also from this die set, I’ve cut the Crumb Cake leaves that are placed behind the flowers on each corner.

For something different this time I cut up DSP! Shocking, I know!  I’m generally a hoarder of DSP and tend to hold on to it in case I “waste it”.  This year, I’ve decided that I will no longer be a hoarder.  The little flowers and leaves that look like stamped images are actually DSP.  I really love the flowers as they look like embossed Crumb Cake edges with Lovely Lipstick for colour.  I added them to each corner I where I placed the flowers.  I then added a strip of Lovely Lipstick 1/2″ Ribbon with a bit of gathering on one side – I forgot it was a tricky thing to do as it kept falling apart, but I got there in the end.

The next hop along the way is the wonderfully talented Rochelle Blok. Pop over to see her absolutely gorgeous creation by clicking on the badge below or by clicking on her name.  I’ve also added a list of the Artisan Design Team below with links to their blogs in case you get lost.
