Hey Everyone
It’s my turn to be sketch designer at Freshly Made Sketches this week. I’ve gone with circles because they are so easy to work with, but you can interpret them anyway.
Sometimes my cards start off one way and end up completely different from what I had in mind….. I initially planned to create a Christmas card with those circles, but after about 1/2hr in, I ended up with a floral card. The gorgeous flowers I’ve used are from Graceful Garden. I’ve heat embossed them with white embossing powder and watercoloured them with a combination of Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch Inks. The leaves are coloured with Soft Sea Foam and Call Me Clover Inks. The background stamp is also from Graceful Garden. I’ve stamped this in Soft Sea Foam Ink also.
The “Love” diecut is from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies. I cut two diecuts – one in Whisper White Cardstock and one in Basic Black Cardstock. I then layered them slightly offset to create a shadow for the sentiment to make it stand out more. The “To You” sentiment is from Merry Christmas To All Stamp Set.
The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards with the sketch. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Wow these flowers are gorgeous! You do have a way with blooms! Thanks for the fun sketch!
It’s funny how sketches lead us on a path! Your path here is gorgeous! I love how you’ve given the sentiment a silhouette.
Brilliant sketch and fab card!
Such stunning flowers. I love the soft colors – and the hint of pattern in the background.
Oh wow! Narelle, this card is gorgeous! Love those flowers and love how that sentiment stands out! So pretty! Thanks for a great sketch this week even with all those circles!
These flowers look gorgeous and the shadowed word die is perfect! Fabulous card and a great sketch. BTW I love circles 🙂
