Hey Everyone
It’s time for a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Our fabulous sketch has been designed by Jennifer Timko. Jennifer’s cards are always absolutely beautiful and wonderfully clean.
As much as I’d love to use Petal Palette on EVERY card I make, I’ve held off for a few cards to try and mix up the look of my cards. I gave my Stampin’ Up! Blends a go on my flowers rather than the usual watercolour I add. I like the “fullness” they give to the colour of the roses. For the leaves I did a light watercolour in Pear Pizzazz as I didn’t want the leaves to overpower the roses.
The sentiment I’ve used on my card could make this either a birthday or a wedding card. This sentiment is from Better Together. As I seem to do a lot lately, I’ve stamped the background with the ink splatters from Timeless Textures. I also added a strip of DSP from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, a strip of Soft Suede DSP and a piece of Gold Ribbon.
Here’s my card:
The Clean Team have created amazing cards that I know you’ll want to check out. Pop over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
I’m happy to see these roses again! They’re beautiful colored with the markers, too. I love them against all of the clean and pretty white space. Lovely card, Narelle!
I, too, could look at your cards with this set all day. I love the yellow and the wood paper layer makes this really special. Gorgeous!
I love how your flowers drift around the sentiment panel! So pretty! And you have mastered those blends…I haven’t!
I love how the roses are so bright and bold in color. Not to mention how fantastic the sentiment looks layered over the woodgrain DSP. Gorgeous!
Your card is so pretty. Your stamping and colouring perfect and subtle. I agree, this card could be for several occasions.
Beautiful card! Those yellow roses are so striking and the sentiment panel works perfectly with them.
Beautiful Card! Like the wood grain panel too.
Beautiful, Love all your white space!
