Hey Everyone
Who’s ready for a new sketch challenge? Me!!! We have a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches for you. This week our sketch hostess is the super talented Jennifer Timko!
Stampin’ Up!s Rooted in Nature is new to me and I have been wanting to use these trees from the set. Jennifer’s sketch was perfect for me to ink up the trees and fussy cut them out. I applied Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso Markers directly to the stamp, huffed on them and then stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then fussy cut them out and layered them on my card. This technique is one I haven’t used in ages, but it works really well when you want to add multiple colours to a stamp. I always start with my lightest colour first so I don’t transfer my darker ink to my lighter markers.
The sentiment I’ve used on my card has been stamped in Basic Gray Ink. The sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams. I added a button and some Linen Thread and my masculine card was done.
Here’s my card:
We would love it if you could play along with Jennifer’s sketch. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look at the inspiration the Clean Team have made for you.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Lovely Narelle….
Bravo !
Love those tees and how you framed them! Pretty card!
Those trees are AMAZING!!! The whole card is amazing! I know you’ve been given the fussy cutting master award before but I feel like I must give it to you again. You totally rock with those snips!
Those trees are AMAZING! I love them! And fussy cut too! This is just such a gorgeous card Narelle! I think trees may take over from the flowers!!!
The perfect masculine card! I love these trees and your color variations. Really lovely!!
A fabulous masculine card! The markers-to-stamp technique adds a softer touch and works beautifully with the gray background. Love this, Narelle!
Oh your trees look fabulous! Wonderful card and such gorgeous detail.
I just love this – it’s so soothing, calm and wonderful! Thanks again for having me guest design for the month of June. I enjoyed my time with all of you lovely and talented ladies!
