Hey Everyone
We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you. Our challenge for you to is:
This is a great challenge! Texture is an easy thing to add to any project – endless possibilities with this challenge.
I’ve chosen to add texture to my card with embossing paste and also the texture of the ribbon I’ve added. The mask I’ve used with my embossing paste is from Pattern Party Decorative Masks.
The colour of the Christmas trees are Old Olive and Pear Pizzaz cardstock. These trees are cut with my new Card Front Builder Thinlits. (Little story about my new thinlits – I lost one before I even used it! I looked for hours for it! Found it two days laters stuck to the back of a finished card I’d filed away. I only found it by accident! I better be a little more careful!). The tiny deer, moon and stars are also from this die set. The layers I’ve added under my sentiment are a strip of DSP from Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, a strip of gorgeous Striped Ribbon and a piece of basic black cardstock cut with my Ticket Tear Border Punch. The pretty sentiment I’ve used is from a Stampin’ Up stamp set called Holly Berry Happiness.
You may not notice straight away, as I had actually forgotten I’d added the DSP when I made the card two weeks ago, but I have used some designer series paper from Merry Music Speciality Designer Series Paper in the background.
The team at Just Add Ink have created gorgeous cards to inspire you. Head over to the challenge and take a look. While you’re there, we would love to see your project with texture!
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
I am so glad I am not the only one who looses pieces and finds them where I least expect it. Found a small thinlit in my fluffy cat’s tail yesterday. Can’t describe the look she gave me as I tried to pull it out! Love all the layers and textures Narelle.
Oh my goodness…this is the most beautiful card that I have seen with the Card Front Builder Thinlets. I love all of the layers and textures! Great job!!!

Such an elegant Christmas card Narelle! I love how you’ve added the moon and stars to the background to complete your beautiful scene too. xx
Love this card. It’s beautiful and I love all the layers and textures. xx
As always gorgeous Narelle! I love the little scene you created, especially the tiny moon and star details, fiddly but worth it! xxx
Absolutely stunning, Narelle! Love the layers – always love your layers!!! So glad you found the tree Thinlit – stamp cases are my die stealers lol.
SO many amazing elements that work perfectly together!
