Hey Everyone
I had a day off work today and after breakfast with my husband, I had time to play in my craft room. The card I made is for the following challenges – the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge and the theme challenge at Merry Monday Challenge.
Here are the pics for their challenges:
Oh how I love black and white for Christmas! I was thrilled to see that one of the designer series paper packs in the Stampin’ Up! 2017 Holiday Catalogue featured Basic Black, Whisper White and Old Olive. This DSP pack is called Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. The holly on my card is from a Stampin Up! stamp set called Holly Berry Happiness. After stamping the outline in Basic Black Archival Ink, I then watercoloured the centre with Old Olive Ink. The centre of the berries is lightly coloured with Cherry Cobbler Ink.
The word “Joy” has been cut with a retired die from Wondrous Wreath Framelit Dies. I then added a couple of thin strips of Basic Black cardstock as I felt that side of the card was a little bare – not gonna lie, it took me forever to get two that were similar in width and not furry edged…. To finish off my card, I added some Basic Black Bakers Twine and some Silver Sequins.
Here’s my card:
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
