Freshly Made Sketches #279

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday again! We have a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches and this week Rita Wright is our sketch hostess.  I love her cards and am always inspired with her creations.  If you haven’t visited her blog, then click here and check it out!

I have a niece who’s birthday is in a couple of weeks time.  She’s so lucky as she’s holidaying in America at the moment. The first part of her holiday was spent on a Disney Cruise and her request for her birthday was to spend it in New York.  One day I’ll get there myself……

I wanted to make a fun birthday card for her.  The balloons I’ve stamped are from Stampin’ Up!s Balloon Adventures.  I’ve stamped them in Melon Mambo and Pool Party.  The sentiment I’ve used is from Happy Celebrations. And because I’m a work in progress with a watercoloured background, I decided to use the watercolour type stamp from Timeless Textures.  I’ve stamped it Pool Party to just add a little bit of something behind the balloons.

Here’s my card:

The girls from Freshly Made Sketches have created gorgeous cards to inspire you.  Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Narelle

  1. Wow!, Nraelle ! This is defintely a wonderful birthday card! I love those fun balloons and the pretty color palette. (BTW, I chose the same colors for my card 😉 )

  2. Definitely a fun card for your niece. Love the colors and, of course, the way you have used these beautiful layers. And when you do get to New York I can promise you that we’ll have one heck of an FMS party because there are a few of us who are close enough to NY to make a date!!
