Hey Everyone
We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you. This weeks inspiration picture was suggested by Di.
I tried to bring each of the colours from the pretty bouquet of tulips into my card. The colours I’ve used for my flowers are So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo. My leaves were made with Gumball Green and Mint Macaron. I had the sentiment sitting on my desk that I had previously cut for another project and never used. Instead of just leaving it white, I decided to give it a bit of colour. To give it a rainbow effect, I wet it with water and then took my watercolour pen and lightly added the same colours I used for the flowers. After drying it off with my heat tool, I felt it needed a little more colour. After adding a bit here and there, I dried it off again. This is the result and I have to say that I like this effect!
The team at Just Add Ink have provided fabulous inspiration for you, so head over to Just Add Ink and take a look.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Wow Narelle ! What a fabulous card ! Wonderful colors
Just gorgeous! So soft and pretty but then there are the splatters which add such a trendy look!
Oh, this is so pretty! I love the softly coloured effect on the die cut sentiment, and like that you’ve added black elements for contrast. Great card, Narelle.
This is really pretty Narelle! It has such a light and delicate feel – generated by those little touches of colour. Your hello sentiment turned out beautiful and really pulls all the colours together. xxx
Love, love, love this!
Yes, this is stunning Narelle! I adore your softly water coloured “hello” and your gorgeous leaves and tiny flowers and splatters balance it all so beautifully! xx
There’s something very satisfying about using a leftover piece or scrap to make a whole new project idea. I love how you’ve teamed the word with the swirly flowers & the touch of black. Noice indeed! Hugs, D
Really pretty Narelle. You have captured the inspiration beautifully and in such a fresh modern way…love that rainbow sentiment too! Xx
Love! That sentiment is a stand out, my friend – love the combination. Your little flower clusters look awesome with the splatter behind – very modern. xx
