Freshly Made Sketches #254

Hey Everyone

It’s that time again where it’s my turn to host the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. As always when I plan a sketch, I have absolutely no clue what kind of card I want to make. Saturdays are generally my crafting day and wouldn’t you know it, I got a migraine! Saturday and most of Sunday was out due to my fuzzy head.  I finally managed to create my card on Sunday night and it probably wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. But I ran out of time….

In the end I decided to go with a Christmas card.  My mum and I were talking recently and I said it had been ages since I had used my Stampin’ Up! markers.   I decided to use them by applying them direct to my stamp and then after a little huffing on the stamp, I then stamped my tree onto Whisper White cardstock.  The tree I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Special Season. It was the first time I inked up this set – never seen ink before shows you how much I really needed it, doesn’t it? There’s probably a few sets in my craft room like this in my craft room 😉

  1. Gorgeous Christmas card, Narelle, and such a fabulous sketch! I hate to think how many uninked SU sets I have and now I’ve packed up all my SU sets and put them in storage, they’re likely to stay uninked. Any stamps I buy now go into a container until I use them then they go live in the shelves with the other sets.

  2. I prefer to think that this stamp set was just waiting for the perfect moment to be used! And this must be that moment because your card is fabulous! I love the neutral colors with the shades of green.

  3. I love a beautiful, yet masculine Christmas card! I have some guys on my list that I struggle to make more manly/neutral holiday cards for and this is just perfect!
