Hey Everyone
It’s that time again where it’s my turn to host the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. As always when I plan a sketch, I have absolutely no clue what kind of card I want to make. Saturdays are generally my crafting day and wouldn’t you know it, I got a migraine! Saturday and most of Sunday was out due to my fuzzy head. I finally managed to create my card on Sunday night and it probably wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. But I ran out of time….
In the end I decided to go with a Christmas card. My mum and I were talking recently and I said it had been ages since I had used my Stampin’ Up! markers. I decided to use them by applying them direct to my stamp and then after a little huffing on the stamp, I then stamped my tree onto Whisper White cardstock. The tree I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Special Season. It was the first time I inked up this set – never seen ink before shows you how much I really needed it, doesn’t it? There’s probably a few sets in my craft room like this in my craft room 😉
The Clean Team have created gorgeous inspiration for you. Head over to the blog and check out their cards.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Wow this is a great Christmas card! Love it!
This is so pretty for Christmas! Love the tree!
Gorgeous Christmas card, Narelle, and such a fabulous sketch! I hate to think how many uninked SU sets I have and now I’ve packed up all my SU sets and put them in storage, they’re likely to stay uninked. Any stamps I buy now go into a container until I use them then they go live in the shelves with the other sets.
I love the effect you achieved with your markers on this stamp! And I loved working with this sketch! Hope your migrains stay away.
I prefer to think that this stamp set was just waiting for the perfect moment to be used! And this must be that moment because your card is fabulous! I love the neutral colors with the shades of green.
Such a wonderful Christmas card ! Your tree is gorgeous ! Love the white on black sentiment too !
Yay for using a stamp that was calling out for ink! And what pretty inking indeed!! Hope those migraines stay far away.
What a beautiful card Narelle! I love that tree! i can’t believe you cut it out!! I am so glad you inked this set up! Thanks for a great sketch this week!
I love a beautiful, yet masculine Christmas card! I have some guys on my list that I struggle to make more manly/neutral holiday cards for and this is just perfect!
