Freshly Made Sketches #229

Hey Everyone

I’m so proud of myself. I haven’t eaten one Easter egg yet! I figure if I don’t have any in the house, then I won’t eat any.  Can’t say the same for hot cross buns though…..I’ve eaten far too many. For some reason I can’t just stop at one.  Can’t believe how quickly Easter has come around.  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and don’t eat too much chocolate!

It’s time for a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our sketch hostess is the super talented Cindy Hall.  Her cards are always so beautiful – head over to her blog and check them out.

I really can’t get enough of Stampin’ Up!s Botanical Builder Framelits.  They’re so easy to use and look great on any project.  The background stamping was created with one of the stamps from Timeless Textures.  Here’s my card:

Come and join us with this weeks sketch.  Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look at the wonderful inspiration from the Clean Team.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I could go for a hot cross bun…or two! This is gorgeous… the background you created with the squares and stamping! And yep the flowers from that set are beautiful!

  2. I’ve got to agree with you that those framelits look more fantastic each time I see them! I love that you added that little sketchy image behind the diamonds!

  3. Ha I made some hot cross buns last night from scratch and they didn’t turn out half bad. Big mistake though – making a whole batch… I put most of them in the freezer to avoid temptation! On to your card, though. This is so clever – the background really draws the eye and that flower is gorgeous.

  4. Beautiful, Narelle! And I love the stamped background. I don’t think I’ve ever had hot cross buns, but it sounds like that’s probably a good thing. I had my husband buy the Easter candy this year and told him to put it somewhere out of my sight until the night before when I’ll prepare the baskets. Too tempting! Have a nice Easter!

  5. Gorgeous card Narelle! I love it! Love that flower! I totally think I’m going to cave and buy that die! I haven’t eaten any Easter candy yet this year either! We can buy hot cross buns here all year round and they are so very yummy!!! I don’t blame you for eating them!!!

  6. Every time I think I can say no to that flower, you show me why I need it! This is so pretty! And yum…hot cross buns. No person can resist them, not even possible!!

  7. This is so gorgeous! The background looks like it was brushed on. The flowers and leaves look so amazing, and, as always, your color pairing is perfect!
