Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #381

Hey Everyone

Today I’m playing along with Create with Connie & Mary Challenge where they have given us the following sketch to create our cards.

The card I’ve created is kinda vintage-y with not only the retired Stampin’ Up! products I’ve used but with the colours and the distressed edges I’ve given it.  The colours I’ve used are Crumb Cake, Basic Black & Very Vanilla.  I dragged out my crimper again just for a bit of texture to the background and found some long-ago retired Stampin’ Up! DSP called Love Letter DSP for the stars. I’ve stamped a Christmas greeting from a retired set called That’s the Ticket.  To finish it off I’ve added some sequins, button, linen thread and a bow. I can’t even remember the last time I tied a seam binding bow! I have used quite a few old school products here but I can’t go past them for that vintage-y feel.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I just ADORE your card! I haven’t seen Love Letter DSP in a while and I can see why I stocked up on it….it is so beautiful and vintage and you have used it to great effect. 🙂
Beautiful card! I love the bow!! 🙂

  2. Oh my, your card is off the chart! BEAUTIFUL! I love your use of the DSP and your bows are just perfect. I miss the crimper too, it really adds a lot as you so well demonstrated in your lovely card! Thanks for playing along this week at Create with Connie and Mary!
