Hey Everyone
Our sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week has been designed by the very talented Cindy Hall. Cindy creates gorgeous cards – you’re going to want to head over to her blog and check them out.
As you can see I have strayed a tad from the sketch – I hope Cindy doesn’t mind too much! The reason for my straying is because my son was sick over the weekend which is my usual crafting time. I ending up taking him into hospital on Saturday where he received fluids and we were stuck there for 5 hours (I imagine we would’ve stayed longer if I didn’t work there and get a bit of special treatment). I then got sick on Sunday and when I sat down to create a card – nothing came to me! I did originally start off with a rectangle panel, like the sketch, but my fuzzy head just couldn’t figure out what to put on it. So in the end I used my star framelit to cut out a star in the white cardstock, shoved a heap of sequins under some window sheet, added some shaker tape and created a shaker card. No fussy cutting from me for once! Here’s my card:
The Clean Team have provided wonderful cards to inspire you – so head over to Freshly Made Sketches and check them out.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Yikes Narelle! Hope you and your son are feeling better! I do love your snowflake shaker card! Now I have to figure out what shaker tape is……😀
Very striking Narelle love the shaker card done with the star, hope you are feeling better!!!
I hope both you and your son are feeling better. Being sick really affects the mojo, doesn’t it! Not that you’d know looking at your card!
I don’t think you’ve strayed all that much! And I’m doubly impressed that you can continue to create gorgeous cards even when you are feeling under the weather!
Such a gorgeous card Narelle! Love that shaker box! So perfect for Christmas! I sure hope your son is feeling better! Sounds like he was pretty sick. Hope you’re all feeling better now!
