Freshly Made Sketches #168

Hey Everyone

This is our first challenge at Freshly Made Sketches for 2015 and this week our hostess is Amy O’Neill.  Amy’s blog is one of my favourites to visit as she combines colours like no other and I always find inspiration from her cards.  Head over to her blog and check out her gorgeous cards.

I’ve gone with a children’s card as I thought it was time to add to my stash.  I don’t think I’ve ever used Zoo Review, a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set, before now.  I really should pause before I buy as I’m sure there’s more than one stamp set in my room that has never seen ink.  It really is a great stamp set to give my blendabilities a run. Here’s my card:

We would love you to join us in our first challenge.  Head over to the challenge and check out the fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I love how you’ve combined these stamp sets, Narelle. And I love how this card is perfect for a kid, but isn’t too juvenile. Thanks for the kind words in your post. You always inspire me with how you can make such beautiful cards with a monochromatic color scheme.

  2. Take comfort in knowing that you’re not alone in having un-inked stamps in your possession… 🙂 I think I’ve got this set too and never used it – in fact I think it’s now been put into storage – still unused. The giraffe on your card looks so tall and regal and the trees are a perfect backdrop. Lovin’ all the white space too!

  3. Great card Narelle! I love that giraffe and you’re fabulous colouring. I don’t even want to talk about how many stamps I’ve bought that have never seen ink. It’s shameful! Glad I’m not alone!
