The Paper Players Challenge #215

Hey Everyone

I had a day off work today so I headed out to my craft room to catch up on some design team commitments as well as make a card for this weeks sketch challenge at The Paper Players – take a look at Sandy’s fab sketch:

I felt I was overdue to make a man card and thought Sandy’s sketch worked perfectly for one.  Stampin’ Up!s Four Feathers is fast becoming one of my favourite stamp sets.  I’ve stamped the feathers in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede.  I’ve used a retired stamp set called Off the Grid for the background and the sentiment is from a retired set called Afterthoughts.  My supply of these amazing buttons is slowly dwindling.  I was wondering if it would be rude to ask for the button back after I give the card to the recipient??? Or I might just have to give it to my husband just so I know I’ll get it back!  Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

  1. Narelle, this is fabulous! Love how you’ve used the sketch as the backdrop for these fabulous feathers! Great colors and fantastic stamping. Love it all and so glad you joined us this week!

  2. This is one great card! I love the background, the button, the feathers…Ok….I guess I love ALL of it! It’s awesome! Thanks for playing along this week at The Paper Players!

  3. Oh my goodness, this is just amazing. What an awesome masculine card….and no, it’s not rude to ask for the button back…I do that all the time, LOL! I love the Park Lane paper behind the feathers….somehow that particular pattern passed me by, I’m going to have to go check it out! Your stamping creativity shines here, Narelle….not only can you do florals well, you do masculine well too! SO glad you played with the Players’ sketch this week!

  4. Haha Narelle you are too funny! Confession: I’ve given a card to my husband and when he wasn’t looking took it back, LOL! Love your creation. Those feathers are just gorgeous and I like the squares of patterned paper. Thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge at The Paper Players!
