Hey Everyone
I’ve had a wonderful long weekend – did lots of relaxing and a bit of card making. One of the cards I made was combined for two challenges – the colour challenge at Pals Paper Arts and the sketch challenge at Retro Sketches. Here are their inspiration pics:
Do you ever have those days when one card will work for you and then the next one doesn’t? That was me today. The card I’m sharing was the one that didn’t quite work for me – not sure why, but I’m just not feeling it….. I did a bit of colouring on this card that I enjoyed. Stampin’ Up!s Happy Watercolour is perfect if you want to have a go at it. I then fussy-cut my stems out and raised them up on my card. It was then that I realised I’d forgotten to add Smoky Slate to my card. So up my flowers came so I could sneak Smoky Slate in by adding some water splotches to the background.
Now you’re going to have to come back on Friday if you want to see the card I made today that I love!
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Well even if you’re not totally happy with your card, I think it’s lovely! Wish I could be bothered to master fussy cutting. Thanks for always inspiring me Narelle .
Your signature use of flowers once again shines in this card. I am so impressed with your paper snipping, a skill I am still working on! I think it turned out clean, simple and beautiful. Thanks for playing with the Pals this week.
I think your card is beautiful! The fussy cutting was worth it!
This is so pretty. I LOVE the colors you used. It is so soft and elegant. I have had those days where I wanted to add something and then had to lift everything up to fit it in. The little splatters were worth the look, though!!
That is lovely.
Narelle, Love how you combined the challenges. Thanks for playing at PPA. Come back soon!
Very pretty Narelle, love the fussy cutting !!!
Beautiful Narelle – so very clean and elegant.
