Hey Everyone
We celebrated our 200th challenge at Just Add Ink last week. Thanks to everyone who played along with us – your projects were lovely! This week we have a new colour challenge for you to try.
I always seem to struggle with colour challenges and my stress was made even worse when the only Island Indigo cardstock I had left was about 10cm x 7cm! After much searching I found this scrap of designer series paper from a retired pack called Twitterpated. I decided to keep lots of white space on my card as it made it easier to combine the colours. In the end I realised I had missed putting Pool Party on my card so I tied a Pool Party Seam Binding bow and added it to my card. The tulips from Stampin’ Up!s Blessed Easter are coloured with a blender pen and Real Red ink and I’ve lightly stamped Dictionary in the background.
We would love for you to join us this week at Just Add Ink so head over to the challenge and link up a card. While you’re there, why don’t you check out the pretty cards from the Design Team?
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
This is so, so pretty Narelle! Lovely use of the colors!
It’s amazing what you can find to play with in a challenge when you are scratching the bottom of the barrel. This piece of DSP works perfectly as a background to frame those tulips. Stunning as usual Narelle.
Beautiful, love the Dictionary background behind those gorgeous tulips. (I’m still hyper-ventilating that you’ve got no Island Indigo cardstock – it’s one of my favoruite colours LOL.)
Narelle, this is just awesome….thanks for sharing
You’ve done a beautiful job with the colours Narelle, so soft, crisp and clean…Love it! xx
The end result certainly doesn’t give the impression you struggled with this colour combo Narelle. That pop of red is divine on your clean card and well done on finding a scrap of Island Indigo – love that colour. I don’t know how you manage without it.
Funnily enough I had forgotten Pool Party on my card and ended up doing similar to you, by winding some Baker’s Twine around mine. x
Love how the red tulips just leap off the card Narelle contrasted against the very elegant and serene background. Would never have known you had trouble with it! xxx
This is so pretty, Narelle! Your tulips pop!
I really love all the white space on this card, Narelle. It makes the colours ‘sing’. Beautiful!
