Freshly Made Sketches #119

Hey Everyone

We are in the middle of a major heatwave here in Melbourne so I haven’t really had much of a chance to create as the heat in my craft room is making me melt.  We’re expecting another two days of heat so I don’t think I’ll get much card-making done until the weekend 😦  Fingers crossed we don’t lose power as many homes in Melbourne are without electricity.

This weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is brought to us by the talented Cindy Lovell.  This is her first sketch with us and I have to say that it’s a super-cool design that I love!

I really like this colour combo.  Do you think I can give this card to a man? Or does the yellow make it a bit girlie?  I’ve gone with a star as per Cindy’s sketch but I also snuck another 3 more in there.  I also moved my sentiment to the banner which was actually a mistake as I didn’t look at the sketch as close as I should’ve!

Come and join us this week at Freshly Made Sketches.  Head over to the challenge and check out the gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I think this would be absolutely fine for a male, Narelle. It’s gorgeous and not at all girly. Such a shame about your heatwave stopping you from stamping. I was thinking about you yesterday when I read about the heat in Melbourne and hoping you were okay. Fingers crossed for some cooler weather more suitable for stamping.

  2. I think this is a fabulous card Narelle! I think it would be great for a man! Yellow is definitely a masculine colour!!!! Love how it looks with the black! The stars are great too! Heat wave you say….could you send some our way?! We’re getting snow right now!!!!
