Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #50 & Mojo Monday #284

Hey Everyone

The challenge at Inspired by Stamping this week is to create a project using the following soft colours:

I’ve combined challenges again and have made my card with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch in mind:

I’ve been taking a look at my Stampin’ Up! stamp sets I haven’t used in a while. There’s a pile sitting there of about 20 stamp sets that I’m deciding whether or not to sell – I haven’t sold off any retired stamp sets as yet, I’m scared I may need them at some stage.!  One of the neglected stamp sets I have on my desk is Elements of Style. I LOVED this stamp set when I first got it so I’ve made the effort to use it today.   I’ve also made another card with it for a Design Team challenge that I will share later in the week.

For this card I thought the blossom would look nice in the background behind my birdcage so I used my markers to colour the image in Pear Pizzazz and Pretty in Pink.  I’ve used a retired Stampin’ Up! DSP called Beau Chateau as it fit nicely with the challenge colours. The bird cage is from Nature Walk and the butterfly is from Kindness Matters – both Stampin’ Up! stamp sets.  The sentiment frame is from an Inspired by Stamping set called Fancy Labels 18.

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

  1. I know I’m really terrible about commenting, but I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your blog! I pin almost every one of your cards on Pinterest so I can remember them. I just love that – although I follow over 200 blogs, many SU – I can always tell which ones are yours as I scroll through the photos on my Google Reader. Thank you so very much for sharing your talents! Your presence is felt – even all the way in North Idaho, USA. 🙂

  2. I see this as a lovely Easter card, w/changing the sentiment; thanks, once again, for sharing your inspiration.

  3. I love the way you are working with neglected stamp sets! This card is especially wonderful. Thank you for your daily dose of inspiration!

  4. Ah Narelle! Again you have created another beauty! I have to agree with Elin K, I so look to your blog daily! I was showing a friend cards I have saved to try to CASE and as I went through my files, I could pick every single one of yours out. I love your style and attention to detail! When I grow up, I want to be like you! Thank you for sharing your talent with us and teaching us the beauty of softness and going the extra fussy cut for beauty! My friend, who does not do card stamping, loved your cards. She liked that they were so feminine and tender (her words). Again Thank you for sharing your talent. I will some day CASE these works of art!

  5. What a beautiful card here! I love the pastel colors and the design. I just found your blog a few days ago and love it. Thanks for sharing.
