Hey Everyone
These weeks are really starting to roll on by, aren’t they? We have a colour challenge for you over at Create with Connie & Mary this week:
When you’re on a design team you get your challenges given to you in advance. So I’ve had this colour combo on my mind since Christmas. In my 4 weeks of Christmas holidays do you think I looked once in my cupboard to see if I had any Island Indigo cardstock? The answer to that is “no”. I had put off making a card for this challenge until last weekend because I was unsure of how I was going to combine the colours (they were a bit tricky for me!). Of course this was too late to put in an order when I saw I had only one strip of Island Indigo. So I’ve made do with what I had in the cupboard and here’s what I came up with:
We’d love for you to join us in this weeks colour challenge – head over to Create with Connie & Mary and check out the gorgeous samples the Design Team have created. While you’re there check out the Spring Edition 2013 of Create with Connie and Mary! All the details can be found by clicking here. It’s not too late to join. This week they are featuring products from the Spring and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues.
Thanks for taking a look!
Cheers
Narelle
Lovely crisp and clean card reminds me of spring lovely Narelle !!!
Absolutely fabulous use of these colors. The blue patterned paper is a lovely frame for those cheerful flowers!
Love this!! The Calypso Coral really brightens everything up! Such a beautiful spring card!
The Island Indigo paper you did have is gorgeous and looks wonderful under the white panel with those gorgeous Calypso flowers. Beautiful card!
I thought this was a tough color combo…but, you did it and did it beautifully! Thanks for sharing!
Loving all your layers and I haven’t used that DSP for so long. It goes really well with the challenge colors and elements you used!
Well done Narelle, your card is lovely. I thought of flowers too, when I looked at the challenge colours. Bet this challenge was way out of your comfort zone.
Beautiful card. You’d never know these colors were a struggle for you! Your floral arrangement really pops off the white background.
Gorgeous!
ABsolutely beautiful! I’m always inspired by you!
The spray of Calypso flowers pair well with the DSP! Simply lovely!
You may have had trouble, but I love how all the elements ended up! I laughed at running out of Island Indigo…right before Christmas I ran out of Whisper White…now how does THAT happen! Thanks so much for being on the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team!
