Just Add Ink #151

Hey Everyone

Just Add Ink has a great challenge for you this week.  Tina is this weeks hostess and she has given us the challenge to:

Just Add…..A Shaped Card

I created an easel card made from Stampin’ Up!s window framelits not long ago (you can find it here if you want to check it out).  I loved it so much I decided to create another one using the same framelits.  The designer series papers I’ve used at the top of my card is a retired one called Brocade Background DSP.  The main colour in this DSP is River Rock, a colour I don’t use very often.  I made a few rolled roses in a mix of River Rock and Very Vanilla and layered them with some leaves from my Little Leaves Die. On the bottom of my card I used some of my most favourite ever retired DSP – Love Letter DSP.  I love this houndstooth paper combined with River Rock.

Easel cards are good for me because I decorate the inside at the time I make the card (imagine if I left it undecorated when I took the photo – not a good look!).  Apart from the water splotches stamp from French Foliage in the background, I have no real stamping on this card.  I’ve left this card sentiment-less as I didn’t really think it needed one.  It’s now gone into my “card for any occasion” stash.
