Hey Everyone
It’s an extremely hot day here in Melbourne today so I went out to my room early this morning before it got too hot and my brain fried. I’m loving being on holidays as I can craft during the day.
The card I made this morning is for two challenges – Freshly Made Sketches and Pals Paper Arts.
Melon Mambo isn’t a colour I use very often but teamed with Basic Black and Basic Gray I think it makes for a pretty colour combination for my niece’s birthday card – she’ll be turning 20. For something different I added some brads to the pleated ribbon to give it a studded effect.
Thanks for stopping by.
Products Used:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP, Basic Gray
Ink: Melon Mambo, Black Stazon
Stamp Sets: Fabulous Florets, Summer Silhouettes, Petite Pairs, Papillion Potpourri
Other Products: Brads, Window Framelits, Melon Mambo Grosgrain Ribbon (retired)
Cheers
Narelle
Love the ribbon treatment! Great card! I would also love to take some of your heat for a just a bit….it was 24 degrees below zero here this morning!
Actually that Strip speaks to me! Scaringbone huh! Wow! Stunning card. Always love this color pallet, so smart! Little black dress & pink lipstick you know!
Narelle, this card is so beautiful! Wow. Your niece is going to love it! I love the colours and love what you’ve done with the ribbon! As always I love the layers! I will also trade you for some heat! Warmer here today but still -14!!! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
This is gorgeous! You combined the challenges beautifully! Love the ribbon!
I love the striking colours – so very pretty and I am so glad to have “found” your blog with such lovely cards!
Wow….again! So happy to see you use that striped paper. Now I know what to do with it! Glad to see you this week!
Oh how I wish I was telling people that it was really hot today! We’ve been in a bit of a deep freeze here and yesterday when I drove to work it was about 11 degrees (and that’s Fahrenheit)! Your card is gorgeous as always. I think you might be the only person I know who can make a gray leaf look natural!
Great card !!!
Oh this is just gorgeous …. love these colours …. and yes, I agree with Jen – that gray leaf is perfect!
I LOVE this card, Narelle! Such a great balance of pattern, color and texture! Love your style, friend!
Every detail is impeccable and so fresh for spring. Love the brads on the ribbon! Congrats on being a PPA Pick
