Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #230

Hey Everyone

It’s Thursday so that means a new challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.  This weeks challenge is to create a project using Champagne Glimmer Paper and Very Vanilla.  This was my first time using Champagne Glimmer Paper (in fact I purchased it just for this challenge!).

I’ve gold heat embossed the trees from Evergreen as well as my sentiment from Merry & Type – I really like to mix my stamp sets, don’t I? Here’s my card:

We’d love for you to join us this week at Create with Connie & Mary – head over to the challenge and check out what the design team have created this week!

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

  1. A beauty Narelle! I’ve not even begun to downsize that Framelit. I see it done everywhere, is it a pain in the neck or should I jump in and try it?

  2. This is quite beautiful!! Love how you backed your three strips with the glimmer paper! And the gold embossing really adds so much elegance, as does the beautiful ribbon!

  3. Just gorgeous! Love the three panels and the way you layered the framelit. I have a secret tip for a few…rather than sizing down the framelits you can trace around the outside edge of the framelit and it gives you a perfect 1/8″ layer. Someone taught me this and I’m sure you know about it, but thought I’d share for those people who don’t want to cut the framelit down…just trace it!

    • Never thought of the trace idea…nor had anyone else in my group. Great idea, now I’m anxious to try it! Thank you! Naralle’s card is so elegant! Thank you again…to both of you!
