Pals Paper Arts #147 & Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #35

Hey Everyone’s

Hope you’re all having a wonderful day.  It’s Saturday here in Australia and it looks like it’s going to be a cloudy weekend in Melbourne and then the sun will come out on Monday – isn’t that always the way?!

Pals Paper Arts sketch Queen, Margaret, has given us this fabulous sketch to create our cards:

I’ve combining this sketch with the challenge over at Inspired by Stamping. Their colours for this week are pink, gold & white.  Here’s their inspiration pic:

I probably don’t “do” a lot of pink cards, but I actually like these colours together.  The cardstock I’ve used is from a Stampin’ Up! DSP pack called Fan Fair.  As Stampin’ Up! don’t have pink seam binding, I made my own.  Normally I would drop a couple of drops of my desired re-inker colour into hot water and throw some Very Vanilla seam binding in, but as I don’t have any pink re-inkers, I dragged my seam binding over the ink pad to give it colour.  It’s probably not the exact colour I was going for, but I’m happy with it. Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Narelle how beautiful is this card ,love, love, love it. The seam binding is a very shabby chic colour ,well done !!!

  2. Love the pinks from Fan Fair used here, Narelle, it’s stunning. Are those torn paper flowers? They are lovely and the seam binding is perfect! Thanks for joining us at the PPA this week.

  3. One wouldn’t know you don’t ‘do pink’, Narelle! It’s lovely, and I especially like that pretty bow/ticket/button cluster. Thank you so much for playing with us at Inspired By Stamping!
