Merry Monday Challenge – Something Different Week 4

Hey Everyone

So this one started after a phone conversation with my mum….  We were discussing punches and I said my first punch was the Round Tab punch – not sure why this was my first – and how I’ve barely used it in the 3 years since I’ve owned it!  I said to my mum that I was going to use it on a card – easier said than done.

For my last week of using the same sketch at Merry Monday for the month of July I decided I’d like to make a card where I could add a gift card somewhere on the card.  I ended up taking the easy way out last year and gave lots of gift cards instead of pressies, so I wanted to play around with this years cards and add a pocket or something similar to hide the gift cards in. I’ve used the Two Tags die and created a pouch and added it to the front of the card.  Not sure if I’m loving this card but it will do for now.  It will need some tweaking before Christmas comes because it was very fiddly.

Here’s my gift card, card:

And here’s a picture of how the flap opens and where the gift card hides:

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Narelle

  1. What a great idea. I have only just got the two tags die and have been looking for inspiration. Love your choice of DSPs and images too, Thanks Narelle

  2. I love this card. Very bright and cheerful and clean. I am curious: would you be willing to share the measurements you used for each of the pieces of card stock and designer paper for the card?
    Thanks! Karen

  3. Wow, Narelle, I’m impressed! It’s sort of like a joy fold card and holds the gift card beautifully! Glad you finally got to use that punch! I have a couple of punches on the shelf that I just had to have and have yet to use them. Great job!

  4. What a fantastic idea :), I love the papers you used. I know I feel joy to get a gift card at Christmas. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂
