The Paper Players Challenge #94 – In Celebration of Mothers

Hey Everyone

I really excited to be guest designing with the girls at the Paper Players this month.  I’ve been a big fan of their challenges since I found them last year and always find so much inspiration from the design team.

This week is a themed challenge – In Celebration of Mothers – with Mothers Day just around the corner we are celebrating the women in our lives.

I decided to take my colours from the inspiration pic – Early Espresso, So Saffron, Very Vanilla & Blushing Bride – for my card.  As I don’t have a cupcake stamp or punch, I focused on the little icing roses and made three in Blushing Bride and So Saffron.

I really like the idea of a cupcake pick from the inspiration picture for my greeting, so I rummaged through my craft stuff and found a pin, stamped a greeting on a banner and stuck it together – do you think it resembles the cupcake pick?

I hope you get time head over to the Paper Players and check out what the design team have created.  Thanks for taking a look.

Cheers

Narelle

  1. Welcome Narelle, so excited to be stamping with you this month! I love your take on the inspiration photo and those rolled flowers are perfection! Love that the cupcake picks inspired you too and your jewel topped one is beautiful! Such a lovely card!

  2. Hooray!! Welcome to the Paper Players, Narelle! This is one gorgeous card! I really like how the pretty pastels stand out on the black background. So rich and elegant! Those rolled flowers are a wonderful touch, too. So very pretty, in every way! Big hugs! 🙂

  3. Hi Narelle, First of all…welcome to The Paper Players! I have no doubt that your cards will give some beautiful inspiration and you started out with your first one being a work of art! Those swirled flowers are almost a complete match to the inspiration photo. And, I am loving your idea to use the pin with the banner that says Happy Mother’s Day. I love all of the layering of colors, textures, and patterns. Beautiful card! Looking forward to seeing more!!
