Create with Connie & Mary #197 & Freshly Made Sketches #30

Hey Everyone

I’m back after a two week holiday from a little fishing town called Eden which is on the South Coast of New South Wales.  Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter – we had a wonderful holiday and probably ate to much chocolate! I managed to squeeze in two crates of my Stampin’ Up! supplies so I could craft on my hols. There was only so much I could take away with me and guaranteed I had all the wrong colours when it came to the challenges I entered over the last couple of weeks, so I practically walked into my craft room yesterday and kissed my desk! I was desperately in need of all my matching cardstock, ink, ribbons and stamp sets.

The card I made yesterday (but only had a chance to photograph today) is for two challenges – Create with Connie & Mary and Freshly Made Sketches.

I’ve gone with something other than a feminine card (shocking, I know) but I wanted to add a kids card to my collection. Here’s my card:

Thanks for taking a look.

  1. Oh my … this is adorable …love that teddy and love the balloons! So glad you had a great holiday, but I totally relate to the crafting haul, no matter what I take with me … you can guarantee that the thing needed most has been left behind and the things that I do take get neglected!

  2. How brave you are to take stamping stuff with you on holiday! I don’t think I could do it because I’m sure I’d forget something crucial. Like tape runner or something! Glad our challenge helped you get back into the swing of things! Love how the cute bear is holding the balloons!

  3. So cute Narelle, love that bear! The white space on the card is lovely too! Glad your holidays were fun!!! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!!!

  4. What a darling teddy bear Narelle! You do kids cards just as beautifully as feminine floral ones! Love how he is holding the balloons. So glad you joined us at CCMC! Glad you had a lovely holiday!

  5. Ah, Button Bear looks so great with the “balloons”! Great combination! It is SO hard to take stuff with you on vacation…I’ve tried that before, too! I always miss my stuff! Thanks for playing along with the color challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!

  6. This card is too stinkin’ cute and oh so clever! What a great idea to use the hot air balloons as regular balloons!! I love it! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!

  7. I love how you took the hot air balloons and made them into regular balloons – too cute! Thanks for playing along this week in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!

  8. LOL! What a blast from the past! Good ol’ Button Bear! Cute card! Love how you used the balloons for…well, balloons! Thanks for playing the Create with Connie & Mary challenge this week!
