Hey Everyone
It’s been ages since I’ve had a chance to play along with the challenges at The Paper Players. The reason being the challenges goes live on a Sunday evening here in Australia and then they finish early Saturday morning. I work full time, so I find it hard to enter most weeks now – unless of course I have a day off work like I did today
The very talented Anne Marie has given the challenge this week of creating a clean and simple project using frames. I may as well let you know now – my card is not truly clean and simple…….you know I struggle with this.
This card started with my wanting to use my new Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP. I fell in love with this gorgeous DSP, but wanted to use it for a feminine card rather than a Christmas one. I’ve made a card with a kind of a shadow box frame that I embossed with my new Lacy Brocade embossing folder. I tend to fussy-cut a lot (have you noticed?) and have used one of the flowers from Everything Eleanor and the leaves from Summer Silhouettes. For the base of the shadow box I stamped the words from a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Charming. Here’s what I came up with:
And from another angle so you can see the raised frame:
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
