Can you believe another weekend is over? I’m amazed at how quickly these weeks are flying by. Not long before Christmas now……..
My card tonight is based on the sketch the design team over at Create with Connie & Mary have created. I moved the bow on my card to the opposite side to balance out my butterfly, but apart from that, I’ve stuck to the sketch.
I’ve combined the sketch challenge with the colour challenge over at Dynamic Duos. Their colour challenge this week is to use Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie. Because I didn’t read the challenge correctly, I missed that the dessert option this week was to use die cuts – so I don’t have any die cuts on my card. Note to self – read the instructions before I start my card.
My mission is to try and use up as much DSP as I can, because what’s the use of holding onto it for “just in case I need it for another challenge”? I found this bold striped Basic Black and Very Vanilla DSP and decided it would be the starting point for my card. The rest just fell into place. These are not my usual colours, but I’m happy with how this card turned out. Here’s my card:

I do the same thing with dsp. I refuse to use it, then I get new paper that I also refuse to use so the first paper is at the bottom of the stack and forgotten. Sad, isn’t it? I absolutely love the bold black and white – it’s a perfect backdrop to that image! So glad to see you at Dynamic Duos!
