Just Add Ink #95 Bah Humbug

Hey Everyone

Hope you’re having a great Saturday!  It’s absolutely pouring here in Melbourne and it doesn’t look like it’s going stop very soon.  I made this card for the Bah Humbug challenge at Just Add Ink this week where we had to create a Christmas card without using a Christmas Stamp or Christmas DSP – we could only use a Christmas Greeting.  This one stumped but after brainstorming with my mum (thanks Jude!) I came up with the following card.  Well, that was after I made a mad dash to the supermarket this morning to pick up the candy cane as I didn’t have one in my house (I had even resorted to looking for a stale one from last year but gave up coz I thought that would be gross!).

Thanks for stopping by.

This card was chosen as a Top Pick this week.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Cherry Cobbler DSP, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, First Edition DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Stamp Set: Perfect Punches
Other Products: Basic Pearls, Bird Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Button, Linen Thread, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punch, Tag Die, Candy Cane (not SU)

See ya

Narelle

This is cute. I love how you have made the pocket to hold the candy cane. Fresh is best, I not long ago threw out some of last year’s leftovers that were turning into a huge sticky mess. Blergh.

I love the little pocket you’ve made Narelle. The bow and flowers are gorgeous! Glad you could play at JAI this week.
